A tremendous amount of care and thought goes into making tributes. It is a special opportunity to create something personal and meaningful for the loved ones of the one that passed. Scott designed this for a man who was an avid crabber. The orange flowers were arranged in a crab pot, the drift wood is an original painting by a local artist of a crabbing boat.

Cactus Dish Garden Care Tips

For those of you who've bought one of our lovely Cactus Dish Gardens here are some care tips:

The Cacti and succulents in your Dish Garden require the same type of care. The most important thing to remember is not to over water them. Too much water will make them susceptible to plant rot and then you've got a dead plant. Let the soil dry completely between watering. Also, they love love love the sun. So if you can get them by a sunny window, that is the absolute best. And turn the pot regularly so that all the plants can get a good shot at the sunlight. That about sums it up. Enjoy!

It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is behind us! We want to thank all of our loyal and wonderful customers for making it a truly great Valentine's Day.

As of January, we are no longer affiliated with any of the wire services- that's right! no more Teleflora, FTD and 1-800 Flowers- and we cannot get over just how refreshing it was to not be used and abused all weekend long by these companies. We got not one bad address, wrong order, undeliverable order, strange complaint or request for refund. Every arrangement was delivered and received before 6pm. And the smiles and warm fuzzies floating around all day were uplifting, to say the least.

It's always amazing to witness a steady stream of men coming in to the flower studio, each with his own unique love story and request for assistance. And they were still straggling in at 7pm on Valentine's Day. Better late than never....
